Funny - a couple of years ago If I'd written this there'd be pages of activator lovers berating me over how good they were and they were the first widely available 'suspenshun'.

I used to have an Activator 1 (front sus only) it was Ok but VERY heavy. I was only 13 and really wanted Rock Shox, I wouldn't have an Activator now but it did have it's place back then - wasn't really a serious contendor...ever. When I got my 1993 Marin Bear Valley SE everything changed!
