I've just bought a pair of Mavic Crossmax from a member here, so the pair of wheels I was going to build myself is no longer required.

For sale then, is a pair of unused DT Swiss E540 rims.

These are a disc only enduro rim, anodised in black with silver chrome spoke eyelets. Not the lightest on the market, but light enough, with plenty of strength.

Specs are as follows;

Profile Width: 27.9mm
Rim Joint: Sleeve Joint
Material: Aluminium
Weight: 540g
Colour: Black
Eyelet: Single
36 Holes

The cheapest I have found these rims online is at bike plus.co.uk, where they have them reduced from £54.99 each to £27.49 each (plus shipping). So, these are on offer to Retroride members for £45 for the pair inc. postage in the UK.

Damn, I was after some 28's in 36h, not easy to find, so I'll have to pass, good luck with the sale. :)

Many thanks, hopefully someone will make an offer. Failing that, I'll stick 'em on eBay tomorrow...

Come on guys, you know you want them. :wink: They may not be retro, but they will make for a very nice set of wheels for everyday use...
