the lugs suggest something decent but the head badge and the red bottle cage bolts suggest a re-spray...

I thought it might be a re-sprayed early Raleigh Competition 12 or even a 3 tubes 531 model but that SBDU number makes it slightly more intriguing! Late '77 according to this:

It obviously had it's ups and downs since '77 going by the lost head-badge missing/wrong decals and miss-mash of parts.

christ I've had a fair few ups and downs since 77, so not surprised it's had to be remodeled along the way
