well sort of....
As used on yesterday's sportive in Staffordshire.

The bike did get round pretty quickly, 66 miles in 4hrs 18 mins inc a big climb over Cannock Chase. Actual time was 5hrs but that was due to 2 punctures.... brief stops for water.

Amazingly quick for such an old bike, climbing was good for its weight and very stable on descents.

Riding it involved attacking hills from the bottom as the gearing meant going too slow meant really slow cadence and stalling.

My back and one knee is sore due to set up I guess but what a laugh leaving the carbon fibre brigade behind.... Met a chap on a 1980s Colnago... pristine and shiny.. lovely.. he managed it at 18mph...... long live retrobikes...

pretty sure .. we scanned through a few catalogues and it looks 1950-55 , looking at the cranks and other parts it appears that way. It does look older though...
