1982 Raleigh Gran Sport frame/fork - 57/56cm REDUCED!

Anyone interested in this nice 1982 Raleigh Gran Sport 531 frame and fork?? Serial WP2001464 suggests (I think?) Worksop built in the middle of the year. It measures 57cm centre to top seat tube and 56cm centre to centre top tube. Vitus rear drop outs, Gipiemme chrome on front. I'm pretty sure that frame and forks are a 'pair' however the fork takes an allen key brake fit while the frame is nut fit. Overall it is in top condition and completely straight. It had been refurbished before I bought it a few months ago with new decals, obviously in the original colour. I built it up and tested it as a complete bike but then had the opportunity for the frame I had originally been looking for so sadly this is now for sale. In my short test ride I managed to pull the rear wheel over so there is a mark on the left rear chainstay. In the interests of honesty and openness, there are one or two minor blemishes here and there and although you have to look to find them, the frame is not offered as immaculate. It is however very, very presentable as you can see from the pictures. It has a nice steel headset (Tange I think?) and the BB threads are all fine. Looking for £160; Reduced £130. Final reduction before it goes in the loft or on ebay......£110

Obviously not as appealing as I thought or I am asking too much. If the latter, then let's try £110 which is less than I paid. If it's not appealing there ain't much more I can do!

I'm surprised there has been no takers for this as it's really nice :) just a bit late for me as the cable routing goes under the BB but there again I was born in the 50's

Is that a Shimano headset?

Re:

Just reading the blurb again, does anyone remember Vitus dropouts on these frames? I remember the Gipiemme ones but not Vitus. Or maybe it's just me!!

yeah, mines a bit different
Gipiemme dropouts front and rear
full chrome fork, rear dropouts and RH chainstay
Plastic underbracket cable guide instead of the brazed stops
block lettered Raleigh transfers instead on the swirly ones

Looks similar in the main though, so I'm guessing slightly different bits in the factory parts bin on that batch run
