I bought this frame about 6 years ago, it is a '99 Jamis Coda which is a hybride frame. I wanted this frame because it allows wider tires than a road bike and I don't like skinny tires for the roads I ride.
I built it with a mix of MTB parts; XT 739/750 shifters, mechs and Vbrakes, STX cranks, Open Pro wheelset and On One parts and rode it a lot.
But after those years I wanted something new and replaced a few bits.
I never liked the Vbrakes as the forks are to narrow and never used the front mech.
So this week I build it with a Dura Ace barend shifter, Planet X CX brakes, Suntour XC Pro handles, Mavic Cosmic wheelset and Kooka crank.
I think it is looking pretty good and hope it rides even better as the weight is reduces quite a bit.
Last thing I have to do is install a race cassette and remove one chainring.
