this is my old (2001) RockyMountain Slayer, with "some" upgrades...
after six years of upgrades, it's finally looks like I want
frame: RM slayer 2001 tg.18" 125mm
headset: ritchey Logic (dreaming a ck 1,1/8" black)
fork: RS pike 351 uturn 95-140mm maxle
rear shock: Fox RP2 165x38mm
seat collar: Chromag qr
SeatPost: Thomson Elite 26,8x410
Seat: Chromag Trailmaster LTD
Stem: Thomson X4 90mm 0°
bar: Ritchey comp 640mm flat (waiting RaceFace Atlas Flat or Thomson AM710mm carbon?)
shifters: Shimano XT rapidfire 3x9
front mech: shimano XT
rear der. : Shimano old xtr with custom parts (jokeywheels, etc)
crankset:FSA mod (?) with 22-36 & hope bashring
pedals: Superstar components NanoTech (waiting XT trail)
brakeset: Hope MonoMini gunmetal & carbon lever
front wheel: Hope Pro2 and Mavic 321
rear wheel: NukeProof generator 135xqr and Mavic 321

Cool SLayer man! Thats a warrior of a bike! I almost bought one this year. But I really want to get a 2002 Slayer or Edge love the two tone paints jobs.

then, from 2003 RM have used the OvalRAD easton tubeset and change something on the link...

Have to say that it looks a little bit weird with a flat bar as the Slayer was always the more freeridey of the RM range, Element being their XC race rig chassis. But hey, its your money and its your bike, cheers!

Hey man do you know the rear shock measurements. I have a replacement for mine. Pretty sure this Slayer takes a 6.75 eye to eye. Do you know what stroke it's suppose to be? Thanks

rear shok is 165x38mm...
