Trek Mountain Bike 8000 Aluminum 1993?

Vintage Trek 8000 Aluminum (possibly 1993) with USA sticker on frame. Shimano deore XT rear derailleur, deore LX front derailleur, m90 JuJu chain set, T system 2 handle bar stem and handle bars and handle bar end grips, deore LX brake lever/gear shifter, deore LX brake calliper, interesting forks, sealed bottom bracket, deore LX fhm560 rear hub, very light front wheel with alivio hub.


Mechanically fine but paint oxidisation means it needs a repaint, or sanding down to frame and protecting. 18.5" frame, 21 gears.

The forks could be original Trek, are they air adjustable ?

Whilst its not the done thing to question folks price tag, I have to say there isn't a great following (sadly) for Trek even thought Back in the day they were one of the most progressive and innovative mass market manufacturers.. Check out the archive section and go to manufacturers and go through the brochures for 91-93.

I can't remember seeing a flouro green as flouro citrus yellow was the main in your face colour so it shouldn't be too hard to date yours.
