Columbus MS

I have seen a Battaglin made of Columbus MS, for about £150. Components aren't special - Shimano RX100, but the frame looks good. Paint is a bit tatty, but the tubing profiles look cool.

What is the normal going rate for a Battaglin MS? Is this a good buy?

Thanks

MS was a Columbus "multi-shaped" tubeset introduced around 1990. It was made from Cyclex steel
alloy, in the same family as Columbus SL, SLX, TSX. Each frame tube had a unique shape which was
supposed to enhance it's stiffness. The right chainstay differed from the
left in that it's cross-section was triangular, the down tube was ovalized, etc. Frames built from
it by Tommasini, Somec and Basso, among others, were one notch higher in price point than those of SLX. Sounds like a good deal. Frame and fork alone would probably swap hands for £100.

Fantastic tubeset...pretty rare, too.

Here's the Columbus catalogue page from 1987:

And the crazy dedicated BB that was necessary:

All the best,
