can anyone date my raleigh? please

Ill post up some pics tomorrow of the other raleigh.
That one picked a Few brains. It was a single speed. Perhaps a roadster.
It had been resprayed and turned into a 2 x 6 or 7 speed.
The components are very nice. Weinman brakes etc.
I Dont know why someone would bother going to all the trouble on a 'gas pipe bike'?
it Seemed to have a postcode printed onto the underside of the bb?
Found it in a junk shop for 50 quid. The shop keeper said an old lady dropped it off.
