I have a 1989 / 1990 (it was a long time ago...) Campagnolo Athena chainset i am fitting to a peugeot athena 653 frame but do not have the bottom bracket. i believe the correct spindle length to be 111mm but have read conflicting information about the taper - i read pre 1994 was JIS spec not ISO, but seem to remember having problems of the chainset always coming loose when fitted to a Shimano bb when I first used it in the 90's.
So what taper would it have been / do I need?

thanks, no doubt be on here again trying to build up my peugeot

It is definitely 100% ISO for Campagnolo chainsets to bottom brackets.
I fitted a NOS Athena chainset to my Alan a couple of weeks ago and changed the Shimano JIS BB for a Campagnolo ISO one
