Well, I've just glued my first ever tubular tyre to the rim. I followed the four part how to by Mark Purdy on YouTube. Basically, you glue the tyre base tape and let it go off. Then a thin layer of glue on the rim followed by a thicker layer.
Then the fun starts. Despite the tyre being well pre-stretched, I still managed to end up wearing a goodly amount of the stuff. I can see areas that I will want to improve when I do the rear wheel tomorrow. There don't seem to be any low/high points in particular but, I will try to get the base tape looking more even on a side to side basis.
I hope the much touted ride quality is worth the effort.
