Bit wierd this lately on ebay - lots of bargains seem to be up for grabs...

I set up a bid snipe for several items of over the last few days and look at the prices theyve finsihed at: Didnt expect to get these items at all...

Has the bubble burst on retro stuff? Makes you wonder. Apologies if I outbid anyone on these items - wasnt aware of anyone going for them as such.

Jez - everything i seem to go for seems to reaching simply ridiculous prices. eg I was chasing an XL Klein shirt (one of teh old black/white/red ones) and it reached $170 US - with postage would have been £90! I'd set my limit at £40 which my wife thought nuts for a second hand shirt that retailled for £35. And I'm always after Klein Attitude frames/Tioga Disc Drives (as i want to use one, not hang it on my wall) but the prices aren't feasible- maybe its me and the parts i want in particular but i don't think the bubble has burst or will do for a long time (esp while people are buying stuff to wrap up for the future (Attitude frames) or hang on their walls (Disc Drives)

I got the same modern Syncros bars for £8 a couple of months ago in new condition... it surprised me :D On my San Andreas now.

hmm, I was on for a bargain syncros post but someone sniped at the end to just below my max

Saw that porc and thought it may stay cheap, was gonna go for it but they are just too heavy for me ;)

I'll have a stab at this - I think it's a time of year thing. Post Christmas, people have less money to spend, but more incentive to flog things they don't need and have seen going at good prices.

Is it still possible to fund a bike habit by being a market maker in bits you don't want?

Gutted I didn't bid on the Control Tech Leader forks that went for less than 40 quid  did anyone on the forum buy them?
