Not a disaster, but annoyiong nonetheless.
Had a steel Stumpjumper delivered today...bit rough.
At some point some noodle brain has aerosol sprayed something in their shed/garage too near the bike...as a result...red spray over covering some of the frame (98 gold Nitranium).
Anyway....tried to remove it this afternoon....with various solvents....nothing. Then used the wrong end of a scouring sponge....was getting angry
Of course it worked....but do you think I'll be able to polish up to a gloss again
It's a winter/beach/hack bike hence my lack of judgement  but it would be nice to get it as good as I can.
Any tips
Cheers
Carl

You can try some Solvolautosol first, it's a bit more abrasive than T-Cut, get the worst of the deep scratches out then bring back to a mirror shine with the T-Cut.

Metal polish on paint...never tried that before.....I have some Autoglym metal polish....might try that
