Almost finished, who else loves that sound?

Nearly finished restoring my first proper bike from back in the day. While I'm waiting for a few last bits and pieces I thought I'd bolt on an old DCD I had lying around, wow that sound takes me back in love it so it's staying. Lol.

Mech looks like its been carved from wood.
,
Never had dcd but reckon the noise would send me beserk

Sram woody mech something a bit different. I might be nuts but I love the sound of it like a soft ticking, but then again I used to peg playing cards to forks as well lol ( when I was 5!)

I was always mixed about DCDs. Mine was (and still is) anno purple so I loved it from the start. I also loved (with a long cage mech) how it kept the chain fom slapping around too much on rough stuff... have to say the noise did drive me a bit loopy after a while though, so ended up popping it back in the tool box. :D

Re:

I personally hate the sound of DCD's, it's like the thing is mocking and saying ''all that dragging sound is slowing you down!'' I put a piece of inner tube on the roller, but that just annoyed me more, less noisy, but more draggy.

Big respect for the Woody mech though... nice.
