Retro Newbie
Hi, I have a set of XT M730 hub 7 speed.

I have pulled everything on the rear apart and cleaned cus it was running rough. Now I cant see how to put it back together. There does not seem to be a seal for the cassette end of the assembly. See pics below.

Image how i think it should be assembled:

I think i may have lost a part. Has any one got a imaged and/or explored view of this please? Or some idea about the parts please. Thinking I might need to make a dust seal for the cassette end....

Thanks

Your cones are not like any of the XTR/XT/DX ones I have. They haven't got grooves for seals.

There is a nylon, or steel, bit that pushes in to the bore of the freehub, before the cassette threaded sleeve is screwed in. There is a nylon press in, screw in on XTR, bit that goes in the non drive side. These bit's of plastic provide a smooth bore, around 3/4" diameter, for a rubber seal on the cones to run against. The rubber seal on the cones looks like a brake master cylinder seal and runs in a groove on the cones.

But I have M732 so it may be different.
