Marin Palisades Trail ID help please.

Can anyone help with info on this bike: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 687437560/

Looks like a '95, but seems to be wearing a Shimano Mountain LX groupset, which I thought was a fair bit older. Where did the Palisades Trail sit in Marin's range back then? Is the frame decent?

It is a 1995 Palisades. The LX derailleur is not original to the bike and would have been put on by a previous owner. Full details are in the archive here. If you are looking at the mobile version of the website, it's not obvious where that is, so Google "Retrobike archive Marin". In 1995, the Palisades was at the lower end of Marin's mid-range: a good bike for its position in the market but a long way off the top end. The Palisades is heavier than the top end bikes but you might find the geometry more comfortable. I have a 1996 Palisades that I bought for commuting but I'm so comfortable on it that I often use it for longer weekend rides too.
