my marin 91 bear valley, this bike had been in a guys shed in york untouched for 17 years, after sending payment i got the train from wakefield to york, one way ticket, i then got to the guys house and he pulled it out of the shed, i could see straight away that apart from slight surface rust the bike looked to have had a easy life, i then noticed the bike had two flat tyres and and a rusty chain which because of the poor picture on which i bought it i did not notice before, the guy asked me wheres my car, i said im riding it back mate, he said are you joking, i said no im not and got out of my rucksack my bike pump and wd40 and hoping the tubes would hold the air, they did to my amazement, i sprayed the chain adjusted the seat and rode it the 40 miles home with no problem, the next day i put a shorter stem on it and give it a once over and hit the woods the next day, i love the bike already and next year will have the frame matt powder coated and new decals all the same colour
