Not sure I've seen this question asked on RB, if it was I missed it. I see a lot of what I think of as 'new' bikes on here, new for me being 90s onwards. But, I guess the 90s are now 'retro'. Retro is a moving target. To answer my own question I guess my retro riding decade was the 1970s, endless club rides through 77/78/79. Today I love the craftsmanship and simplicity of anything 40s, 50s or 60s, my daily commute is on a 1963 bike. After taking a ride on a Pinarello Dogma 60.1, I don't really rate progress, but its tomorrows retro :)

My era for retro is the 1970's when I worked in a bike shop and TT'd / raced.

The 70s rock, in lots of ways :) The poll has gone 50/50 already though. We are split with the 90s! This could be interesting.

I love bikes from the pre 50s and 60's. Although recently I've been working on the 1925 Selbach.
I've worried that Retrobike isn't really all that retro anymore when people introduce their pre 2005 bike......but what ever - it's a great website

Anything pre 70,s really .Later than that it stars to work better ie the brakes stop you . Anything after 1995 is modern . Guess it comes with my age

I feel that retro is 1989 and going back - toeclips, downtube shifters, max. 6 speed cogsets, no "in tube" cable routing, steel with lugs - but when does retro become vintage or veteran or antique :)
