...the speech impediment where people pronounce words like "bottle" (that quite patently have no 'ck's in...) as "bockle", or digital as "digical"?

And am I correct in the belief that recent changes in EU legislation means you can waste people (Dirty Harry stylee) for offending your ears in such a manner?

Thought so, glad we cleared that up.

Re:

Not sure of a recognised impediment but, some folk just pronounce those words like that, lickle for little etc...

Don't move to or spend lengthy periods of time in west yorkshire/lancs border such as rochdale, huddersfield. As you will not be able to re-order high calibre bullets quick enough! :)

My current conversations at work generally go something like this;

Colleague; "SO, I was, like, why not..."

Me (Interrupting); "Not 'Like'."

Colleague; "What's not like?"

Me; "The 'like' was superfluous."

Colleague; "..."

Me; "You were saying?"

Colleague; "Well, she said, Like, what's it got..."

Me (Interrupting); "Not 'Like'."

Ad nauseam.

It's better than a spray bottle.
