What are the differences in Campagnolo chain rings?

I need a 39T chain ring on my late '80s/early '90s Record set up and assumed I'd be looking for a Record chain ring to keep things 'right'.
BUT .... I came across an article the other day that said that there are no differences in the inner chain rings across the Record, Chorus and Athena groupsets (assuming 5 hole, 135BCD).
Is this correct? If so, that's great as it opens up my opportunities. If not, what are the differences?
Thank you.

The rings are all interchangeable, Athena and up all have the nice machined rings, lowlier groupsets have stamped rings. IIRC Record have a slightly better polish but its not really noticeable and TA rings are even better finished.

135BCD no issues but on a 144BCD you can only run a 41T ring as your smallest ring.

That's great news! Knowing that I'm looking for machined, not stamped, parts is really helpful.
Thank you all 🙂

Even the stamped ones that came with veloce et al work ok and have no noticeable dip in performance. They just look poorer
