Un-ridden 1984 SBDU with Super Record

This is the latest addition to my SBDU collection, a late 1984 531c frame built up during 1985/86 with Super Record (Record Pedals) and then never ridden. It has spent its life in the guest room of a home in Denmark. Apart from one tiny mark on one of the chain stay SBDU ovals and a small mark at the base of a fork blade, the paint is immaculate. All the date-able parts that I've checked so far date to mid 80s such as the rear derailleur with no PAT stamp, the cranks are dated '11' in a square and the Turbo saddle is marked as mid 1986. Tyres, rims and brake pads are all as new. The laminated Binda straps are unmarked and there is no toe strap rub on the cranks or chain rub on the front derailleur. There isn't even any sign that the wheels have been removed too many times as the paint on the ends is perfect.

Are you really Jean-claude Van Damme :?: :?: :?:

Absolutely stunning

More like Dynamo the Magician  How does he do it :?:

As for the bike seriously cool

Thank you, it really is a stunning bike, in brand new condition.

I don't actually know yet what to do with it. It is spot on my size which is 57cm, but I have a few other SBs in my size that I ride already, with another currently being built. I just couldn't say no when I was offered it.

Most people will probably shout at me that I should ride it. Part of my collection is stuff that I ride and part is just there to be in the collection. If I ride it then it becomes just another 531c bike, if I don't ride it then it remains a pristine showroom exhibit
