The Road Bike How Much Thread

Hi,
I just posted a new thread before I spotted this one - sorry! This is my late dad‘s Bianchi and I was after a rough idea of value. He had a lot of very old bikes but sold them a few years ago and only kept this one.
Cheers
Mike

Looks to be a PL10 circa 1974 from the online catalogues (3 tubes Reynolds 531 only):

The market for vintage road bikes seems to have collapsed again. I'd say £80-125? The crankset could be worth more than the whole bike....I love the aesthetics of 70s French Road bikes but the use French threading makes them a pain if anything fails. Is the original Ideale saddle under that cover?

Hi, so I’m trying to sell anything of value that belonged to my lying, cheating, stealing, despicable husband. I’m going to list his bike, a Dawes Rough Trade on eBay, but I don’t know the price range for it and there aren’t any others on there for reference. When Googling any information about the bike model it led me here, and I can see that this forum is obviously the best place to ask for advice.

I’ve attached photos of the bike, I know he loved it and was pleased when he got it. So I’ll be glad to sell it.

Thank you for any advice given.

This is the road sub-forum. You'd probably get a better response rate in one of the Mountain Bike/MTB sub-forums.

You sound a little upset. I hope you can forgive, forget, and move on.

In it's day that was a very nice bike, straight away you have a C Record chainset there, can't read the rest of the components but I think the headset is Record too. Strip all the computer gubbins and lights off give the whole thing a good clean and some black bar tape.... As for value around 600 wouldn't be silly I don't think..

I noticed a Dawes Sterling (or at least that's what I think it is) sold on my local Facebook Martketplace. That's a super rare bike here in the Eastern Europe, since if I remember correctly, it's an UK company.

Do you have any info regarding the bike? I guess it's a Reynolds 500 triple tube frame, which is not the fanciest and the seller is asking 200€ for it. The seller assures it's in good condition and he even had a bikepacking trip around Scandiavia with the bike.

I'm thinking about building into my winter/fall/spring commuter and maybe later into touring/bikepacking bike but I really have no clue regarding the brand and model.

Any thoughts welcome <3

Edit: forgot to ask, does anyone know what's the maximum tyre width for the frame?
