The Road Bike How Much Thread

ElswickTarga

Retro Newbie
Hi
I have an old Elswick Targa Men's bicycle which I've been meaning to sell for some time now.
I've looked on eBay several times in recent years but never found the same model.
Plenty of Elswick bikes on eBay but never the 'Targa' model, so I'm wondering if anyone could tell me if it was an uncommon model or not?
And what sort of value it might have?
Any info appreciated?

It was bought in the early 1980s and has been stored for the last 36 years!
I've recently cleaned it up a bit but not surprisingly it does needs some TLC after 36 yrs of storage.
Made by Elswick Hopper Cycles.
Bought from Ivor Clark Cycles of Harefield.
What increments do bike frames go in? is it 1 inch increments?
Seems to be a 25" frame - if I've understood correctly how to measure it.
Thanks in advance.....
Andy

Any help valuing this would be greatly appreciated. My best guess is that it’s a Raleigh Equipe in Roadace clothing.

Providence wise the bike was given to me by an uncle whose friend worked at Raleigh’s Nottingham factory. This bike is a factory prototype that was used to test the paint scheme for the release of that years roadace which I think was 1987. The navy/white colour scheme wasn’t chosen and this livery never went into production which makes the bike truly unique.

It has a 60cm frame and a Sachs Huret group set. It’s been garage housed for the last 35 years with some minor spot rust and a rear wheel that needs truing. The bike still rides well and all specs are original, save for the tyres. The only markings I can find on the bike is the ‘61’ stamped on the head tube.

It has been gathering dust hanging in my dad’s garage so I’m looking to move it on to a collector/retro rider. Any price estimate or anything you can add to its identification would be greatly appreciated.

So I have very short refurbishment thread in the readers bikes section. This has all the details in it. Sorry I don't know how to insert a link. Try the following.

Otherwise 1990 Holdsworth Espirit 23" 58cm full 531 frame and fork. All Campagnolo with the exception of the headset.
What do people think the ball park figure is?20210626_123741.jpg20210626_123736.jpg20210626_123712.jpg20210626_123643.jpg20210626_123630.jpg20210626_123623.jpg20210626_123614.jpg20210626_123557.jpg20210626_123553.jpg20210626_123545.jpg

Interesting head badge: I suggest you post in the Readers Road Bikes section and provide a more detailed close up pic of headbadge and frame- I'm sure there are clues in the details and the forum gurus can help. As you say, nothing obvious on the www for "The Hember". The white unicorn and what looks to be a lion are heraldic symbols for the UK. What does the B stand for- can't read the lower badge section?

I've a Peugeot Comete with Shimano 105 components (Shimano 600 wheels) in very nice order. It doesn't fit in with my 'collection' and I need the space as I've just picked up an MKM Ultimate for the last space in the garage.
I've no idea of value....can anyone guide me please.
Cheers,
David
Don't suppose this is still available?
