RetroBike Self Help Group : OCD : Dishwashers

Looking at a rear mech on my desk in front of me, and it's a bit filthy.. I'm thinking of sticking it in the Dishwasher and seeing how it fairs..

1. Is this taking it too far?
2. What's the largest number of bike parts you've put in the dishwasher?
3. Tyres and Washing Machines, tell me your story..

I mentioned this to my missus after hearing of another member on here (who shall remain nameless ) told me about using a washing machine while his missus was out and how good it was. Surprisingly my missus said it would be ok as long as I don't break it :shock:
Sadly we don't have a dishwasher as no doubt I would abuse this too

I've done the tyres in washing machine trick after seeing it suggested on here.

Wasn't overly impressed with the results I must admit.

GirlBurning just pi@@ed herself when she saw me hanging them up on the line, and suggested we go for a pint or four.

So actually, I guess I was pretty impressed with the results...
