Raleigh Road Bike 531 tubing for restoration, late 1960's.

A Raleigh road/ racing bike from late 1960's/ early 1970's.

I have owned the bike since 1975, when it was second hand.
It is possibly a Royal, or Supercourse.

Frame is good, and built with REYNOLDS 531 TUBING.
Wrap over rear stays and rear brake cable stop.Pump brackets on cross tube.
Size is 22 1/2 " from top of seat tube to crank centre.
Serial number on LH rear dropout is 85062.

Brakes are GB 88 centre pull with Superhood levers.
Alloy lightweight short mudguards.

Rear derailleur is Simplex, 5 speed
Front probably the same, with just an S on the boss. 2 speed.

Saddle is a plastic Mertens Saddle.

The handle bar and wheels are rusty, the cranks and chainwheel less so, and might clean up.[/b]

Offers around £50. Item is also on ebay.
