Thanks.
I wonder what it tastes like?
Most corrosive chemicals taste burn-ey - the flavour will come from your own melting cells.
Don't even think of doing a Kojak!
Thanks.

I imagine it would go down your throat like a cheap scotchThanks.

I'd like to think it goes without saying, face shield, gloves and outside in the open air. Thanks for posting thatYou really should study any chemicals/oils/paints etc you are using, obtain data sheets and have the correct PPE. Everyone thinks 'it' won't happen to them, but 'it' does, given enough exposure. It's also interesting to see what some of these chemicals are used for. One of the most dangerous chemicals I work with is a very strong secondary biocide, a person can easily become sensitised after a good splash and then realise it's in many shower gels/shampoos etc. so spend the rest of their lives reading the ingredients on every bottle they buy. As someone who fixes chemical tanks for a living I see people's blase' attitude all the time, and also see people who got caught out, usually with Caustic and thinking it's soapy, not realising that's actually the oil of their skin being drawn out.
Anyway, with that out of the way, Dichloromethane is the stuff old paint stripper contained and it's dangerous stuff. Despite its use for paint stripper being banned by the EU some years ago, it can be purchased online and mixed in, to give you the lethal but effective treatment you desire. It worked well on my Aluminium Elite frame.
It also evaporates quickly, so it's a good idea to coat your item with the potion then put it into a thick and sealed plastic bag with minimal air, like those oven shelf cleaning kits.
Good to know what the soapy feel is if you splash you hand with caustic!I see people who got caught out, usually with Caustic and thinking it's soapy, not realising that's actually the oil of their skin being drawn out.
Overalls and leather work boots also make a difference.I'd like to think it goes without saying, face shield, gloves and outside in the open air. Thanks for posting that![]()
