Hey everyone, I haven't been on the forum in ages, but it's great to see some old faces on here after all these years!
I've had some health related issues in my life recently, so sadly my massive collection of stuff will be going in the next few months. I've just started posting them a few at a time, but here's the first complete bike - a NOS 1992/93 Cannondale Delta V 2000, complete and original! NEW! Probably the only one left like this in the world. Once in a lifetime opportunity! 19" size (M), although it measures 18" BB to QR.
I bought this AGES ago as it was always one of my fave Cannondales when I was a kid in 1992, especially in this top-spec Purple/Orange colour combo. This model was the top of the line MTB in Cannondale's 1992 catalog, which I've attached here as well.
This bike is new, but it's picked up a few small paint chips in storage over the years. Nothing major. Decals all good as well.
It has been ridden literally 2 miles in its entire life, by me (to my storage unit and back! Lol). The previous owner never rode the bike, but unfortunately had the stem and handlebars installed upside down. I never got around to it because I didn't have the time to take off the grips, etc and flip them upside (rightside lol). BTW the grips are still soft and perfect; it was stored in a climate controlled unit in my entire ownership.
The protective plastic stickers are still on the Deore XT thumbshifters (working perfectly, see pic). The bike still has its delivery cassette pie plate and stupid naff reflectors on it! Lol. Headshok and rear shock both perfect. Still holding air perfectly.
Here are some specs:
All Deore XT
Wheelsmith Sun Chinook CR-16 rims 32/28 with Deore XT hubs
Panaracer Smoke 2.1 (they are so new that they have the dusty white powder on them)
Ritchey Logic crankset 26/36/46
Ritchey brake levers
Deore XT low profile brakeset with working rollers (front brake cable needs replacing, the brake is stuck due to cable but brake itself new and working perfectly)
Easton Hyperlite Cannondale handlebars
Selle Italia Turbo saddle (same as originally spec'ed, but not the actual original one)
Ritchey Force seatpost
Seatpost QR - Ringle
Bar ends have been swapped from original
Any other questions? Just ask!
I'll be sad to see this go, but I honestly don't know what my future health will hold, and my daughter has no shared interest in our retrobike passion, so it needs to go.
£700 bank transfer or PP friends shipped in the UK (far north and islands may be different). I know it's not cheap, but hey, you'll be the only person with a new one of these. Hahaha. If you're living outside of the UK, we'll work out shipping separately on top of that. I paid more for this than the selling price, but I want it to be cherished for the rest of its life in a way that only one of our Retrobike family can.
So, here are the pics:
