Just some memories to share. Dad came home with a used bike in about 1972/3. Got it from a bloke at work. It was a Maclean, quite early I believe? Had four speed simplex, the one with the coil spring and little sturmey type chain pulling though. There were some wooden sprint rims as well, although I believe he kept them. I remember the frame being whippy, you could put your foot against bottom bracket and push it a long way! APPARENTLY this was a good thing, to aid sprinting!!!
Wish I had it now...
 
I saw some in a shop earlier this year. They were in modern Campagnolo packaging, similar to their other current products. I can't remember the actual price but it was something ridiculous like that.

I suppose they are "reissues" like the Turbo and Concor saddles.

Brake block prices are a rip off anyway, £15-30 for a few pieces of moulded rubber?
