Mcmahon shaka suspension forks steerer

I've just scored some of these forks from the sake section. Problem is I don't have any 1 inch steerer frames to fit it to. We're there 1 1/8 steerer available for these forks and am I likely to find one, or should I think about finding a 1 inch steerer frame to fit them to instead? Is there such a thing as a 1 1/8 to 1 inch headset?

Need to consider my options before I get down and dirty with the forks when they arrive to get them working and a build on the go.

Sure any decent machine shop could make a 1 1/8th steerer with a 1in step down for insertion into the crown. Just found this...

You can run an insert in the headtube and use a 1" headset
or install a Chris King Devolution 1 1/8"-1" conversion headset.

The crown assembly looks remarkably similar to Manitou 1/Shocktech forks so the steerer should be removable. As mentioned above you could get a steerer made with a step down to fit the 1" crown.

Looks like the reviews of imminent death if the forks are ridden relate to a different model, the Shaka Zulu fork? Still, unless you know exactly what model you have it might be a good idea to strip them down and check on the length and condition of the elastomer stacks inside.

If you need a new steerer tube for aheadset use then rst do them- rose bikes have them.

Thanks. Will investigate the options once I have the fork in hand. I do have a 1 1/8 steerer kicking about but no idea what fork it came from, maybe it will fit??

Our Mc Mahon ( mine and MojoTi's) got 1" headtube ad titanium steerers ( withcarbon fiber insert) those forks are rare and I think that he made 1"1/8 around 93 when hebuilt aluminum suspension bike.
So, it would be easier to find 1" headtube frame or to buy problem solver reducers.

Thinking that hanging on for a 1 inch frame might be best, though had hoped I could get something working to use them on my dbr axis tt which has a 1 1/8 steerer (ahead).
