M569 / M739 outer chainring problem

I've tidied and polished a four arm LX m569 crankset and managed to get the outer ring off - using the unsubtle method of a mallet and a large old screwdriver... I'm now unable to get the crown nut tight enough to eliminate ring wobble - fortunately I managed to avoid butchering the nut. Anyone have the correct tool, or a picture of one, so I can get one ? Help will be much appreciated.

Do you mean for the spider castle nut?

If so I’ve got one I can picture later or you are welcome to come borrow if around my way

(Assuming it’s same as XTR / XT ones which I’m sure it is)

I suspect the lock ring has been drifted off using a screwdriver and mallet but the challenge is now getting it back on and tight enough to lock the chain ring in place.

I have e a couple of these tools, I'll try and get a pic shortly.

Even finger tight though, it shouldn't wobble. You sure there's no debris in there?

I usually put the tool in the vice and then turn the crank. As they tend to be tight.

Mine is a LifeLine Bottom Bracket Tool 8 Prong I got cheap from chain reaction. Can find similar on fleabay for about £6 posted.
