Kona Hot Serial Number List - update 18/03/24

I'm always interested to see some more pictures of any of these bikes, even for documenting in my own records, and for future reference.

Ah rightyho, I have a couple of owners documented in my records for previously / currently owning this bike - I don't detail that information on the Hot List, as some people are not happy to share the Serial Number of their frame, or indeed their real name.

Hi. Looks like there’s a decent following of vintage Kona Hots. I had no idea. I have 20” TET Kona Hot that I’m looking to sell. Serial TET 1189. I live in the U.S. Boston area. Though maybe you could point me in the right direction so the bike goes to a good home.

Hello and welcome to Retrobike.

You have an interesting Hot there, in that the Serial Number is on the cusp of the 1993 /1994 catalogue. I would very much like to add your bike to the Kona Hot Serial Number list - would you be kind enough to either post some pictures up here, or if you have difficultly in adding pictures to a post, I can send you my e-mail address by Private Message (Conversations) for you to attach some pictures. I will need an in focus shot of the underside of the Bottom Bracket showing the Serial Number.

As for selling the bike, you could pop it into the MTB For Sale section.

There is a member on this site in the Boston area who is particularly keen on the Kona Hot and other Custom models - he has bought and sold many examples to other members on here.

Thank you very much for the pictures - a fine example of a 1994 in a great colour.

Well this frame fills a big gap in the Kona Hot Serial Number List between a 1993 TET 1122, and a 1994 TET 1200.

I will add you frame to the List later today.

Im about to acquire an enigma hot this weekend but looks like the serial number is on there already (the powder coated green). The original owner is a really great guy, worked with me for weeks so i can get it without paying the outrageous shipping from US to Canada
