Issue w/asymmetrical brake blocks on my Axis Pro LX Canti's

This is weird. The "Snake Stays" on my frame curve in close to the wheel such that these "long" style (like XT M System) blocks actually hit the seat stays when the cables are removed and the brakes spring back. The fix, temporarily, is to mount them BACKWARDS so I could get the cables fitted.

Another Axis owner appears to have done the same thing? See below.

I think I'm going to have to get "standard" blocks that aren't asymmetrical. Would really like a set of the cartridge style blocks, with replaceable bits, but they are so expensive. Will probably go with plain old XT blocks, but they too are costly.

Just wondering if anyone else running this frame has encountered this problem and has a different solution.

Thanks, kj

Re:

I wouldn't worry. Its only an issue when the cables aren't attached, and as long as you remember to release them gently, all is good. Or put some help tape/frame protector where the blocks hit.
