It's a 19". Ovalised seat tube at the bottom. Been told it's an Explosif, 90s. Weighs about 2.05kg, as best as I can manage on my kitchen scale. I've since stripped all the paint off the BB shell and cannot see any numbers other than BI 0569. Seat tube internal diameter 27mm. Head tube internal diameter 33.2mm

1993 Kilauea ?
scrap that, it's got solid dropouts. also it's a bit light for one, so explosive more than likely.

serial under bottom bracket.

I can't find any other serial number on the BB.
I've had someone on Facebook suggest '95 Explosif?

'95 explosif has Columbus top and down tube. Its hard to tell for sure from your photos, think its the colour and my small screen, but if the top tube and down tube are squashed horizontally at the seatpost end, turned 45 deg from the front of the tube at the headtube, which they look a bit like they are, then yes, it is a 95 explosif.

It does have ovalised top tube in vertical plane at seat tube junction, and ovalised seat tube in the horizontal plane at the BB junction.

The seat tube is Tange, a few of the range had the squashed bottom including the cinder cone/ lava dome.

Here is a pic of the frame, you can see the top tube flattened at the seat tube end in comparison to the front of the tube.

is was the ovalised tubes I was basing it on, (Prestige Concept) as I hadn't realised the 1995 explosif had an ovalized bottom bracket seattube. 96/97 don't. I see the 95 also doesn't have the nice wide step of overshoot tubing on the top tube/seatube weld.

The downtube is ovalised at both ends - taller than it is wide at the head tube, and wider than it is tall at the seat tube.

👍 thats a better picture, yes, that is a '95 Explosif.

The '95 is not all Columbus like the later frames, the seat tube is still Tange like yours so cant really be any other year. Nice frames
