I just found out that my FREE apps

Are costing me money every time i play them :shock:

I noticed that the balance on my paygo was going down very fast yet not making calls or sending texts

But then noticed the time of usage was the time i was playing the 'free' games :x

What a con :evil: Should have known nothing is free :roll:

At a guess, many free apps exchange some data, some are kinda adware.

Are you on Android? On the Android Market you have to agree that the app can access the internet or use gps etc etc.... I'm on unlimited data so it doesn't bother me, buuuuuuuut I have heard of people using google navigation (which is free) when going abroad and running up a bill in the hundreds....

With google navigation, can you preload the map data before roaming, then turn off data whilst you're there?

I've only used OVI maps on mobiles, and you certainly can with those - but it can be quite fiddly, turning off all the options that can get the map apps using data.

I'm not sure, I've never bothered as I haven't needed it outside the uk and as I say I'm on an unlimited data deal - it's the international roaming charges that are the killer and my mother in law has a tom tom with european maps that I can borrow.....

No an iPhone. Have now deleted all games. £5 pounds will last much longer now.

it is a jail broken iphone. well i play to many games any way what can you do at work
