Huret 5 speed lever - HELP!

Devout Dirtbag
I dismantled my Huret 5 speed lever the other night to clean and polish it as part of my Sun Snipe restoration. I was very careful about keeping the parts in the correct order and just as I was about to finish re-assembling it I dropped it and the bits went everywhere. I put it back together in the order I thought it was but later found a clear plastic washer which I hadn't put back on and I CAN'T REMEMBER WHERE IT GOES!

Can anybody see from the attached picture if a) I have the parts in the correct order and b) where the plastic washer would go?

Thanks

It never seemed to matter where some of the washers went on friction levers, lol . I think it goes under the black domed washer ......

Thanks for replying so quickly. So fourth from the right you think?

Hmm, got me thinking now, there should be flat washers next to the lever , the domed washer provides the variable grip so the plastic one goes on top of the lever itself.

What has gone wrong with my memory!! I did this all day long in he 1970's.

It's a long time since the 70s, you're forgiven

So gold washer - lever - plastic washer?

That's how my befuddled brain remembers it, night-night nurse :)

I wonder if there's a blow up diagram on the internet somewhere or Spokesman could dismantle one of his?

Re:

I can't seem to find a blow up of this lever. I have found an Allvit and Svelto blow up but the parts are not the same and there are no flat washers at all in that diagram. All the other bits (though slightly different) appear to be in the correct places.

All seems in order, keep them grease free though! Simple, robust changers. I still use these on many of my Carltons.

Always photograph before moving!

I promptly dropped this lot just after this pic was taken :D
