Hi, thought I’d share a couple of pics from my recently completed mtb build, thanks for the content and advice on here, it helped to get the bike to this point.
I picked this bike up from the original owner who is a friend and work colleague. The bike was part payment for a day’s work I did for him fitting a boiler.
He had added a few accessories and bits when he was using it back in the 90’s but the bike was essentially all there - including the original panaracer tyres (+1 spare). I stripped it right down, removed all the accessories and rebuilt it, fitting a correct nos t-bone stem and some used true temper bars (the Brahma bars are not my cup of tea).
All serviced and set up, new cables etc and it rides beautifully, all XT running gear which I’ve never experienced before and I’m impressed, it’s a fairly light and fast bike.
Hope you like, thanks again.
