Re: Dave Hinde 653 - Frame renovations nearly complete!

That’s a belter of a bike, my favourite shape for a MTB.

What’s it weigh?

Re:

Mmmmm can't find the luggage scales right now but I'll post up a build spec when I do fella

Another beautiful day so dug out another classic, this time I didn't crash....

Had to pop and get Ruby (the elder spaniel) some anti pee tablets from the extortionate vets so dusted it off, put some fresh air in the tyres and rolled Dave out once again, couldnt help but get myself a sausage and bacon butty and take a seat in the sun by the river.

This has to be a bit of a firm favorite for me, in both spec and comfort ........ even if the colour isnt really what I asked for

Missed this first time around but that looks great. Nice work on the resto and excellent choice of DX for the components.

I had a couple of wheelsets built up back in the day by Dave Hinde including some Mavic M231CD on black DX hubs.
I well remember their framesets and complete bikes too. They seemed to constantly run magazine adverts so I'm sure I'll be able to find some of their old ads in my stash of old MBUKs.

Latterly Dave Hinde's online business became infamous for their very abrasive but highly entertaining customer service responses to complaints.
