Two years ago, in the evening, I came across an ad just saying "VTT" !!!! But on the picture I immediately recognize a Corratec (and its specific frame). 🇩🇪
Moreover it was really cheap o_O so the next morning I was at the seller's house very early and left with the bike 😀

Well, it's only a Hard Bow, but whatever, I'm in love 😍
Rock Shox Indy C, Grip Shift ESP 700, front derailleur Shimano LX, crankset Corratec, v-brake seatpost... Picon

The specific handlebars had been changed by a regular one !
I changed the fork, the saddle, the tires, and the bar-end.

I adjusted the brakes, the derailleurs, a little cleaning, and that's it :

Now it's perfect, for me ✌️

It is nice indeed, but do you get the impression the silver cranks are wrong and they should also be brightly coloured

Theres been a few on ebay a few years back commanding pretty low pricing, which always surprised me as it was never a cheap bike.

the director Jacques Tati said "trop de couleur distrait le spectateur" (too much color distracts the viewer), so I'm going to keep the silver cranks, moreover they are branded Corratec 🤓

Clearly he didnt envision those yellow tyres  despite speccing them. Come on lets face it his statement is nuts. Theres more colour on a corrotec than any bike in the existence of bikes

The perfect colour combination on any product is the rule of 3. The silver wheels, crankset and seat post contrast perfect ( making it rule of 4 )...in my eyes....
the trouble we have now in 2021 is that everything is so understated, mat finish paints, grey, black dull greens etc ...the early 90s was all about flamboyant colours taken from the bmx scene with early adopters to the mtb scene. Seems lost on a lot of people...........these days.
if you wanna be low key colour ways and fly under the radar ...go get yourselves a raincoat and frequent the top shelf of the petrol station magazine selections 😂😂

"Jour de fête" was to be one of the first french color films. Tati believed that color should be used in a subtle way, to convey information, that's why his sentence. 😉
