Castle siege! Kastle XC-F 900

I had to put this bike on hold for a while, looking for a crankset I liked.
In the end, the always-beautiful Race Face Turbine LP were the ones chosen.
The red anodizing didn't quite match the rest, so I decided to remove the anodizing and powder-coat it in RAL 3002, a slightly dark red very similar to the original Race Face option.

There was an intermediate process that I really liked, where some anodizing remained in certain corners. In the end, I decided to continue removing all the anodizing and paint them.
I'll save that idea for a future project.

Well, I have to make proper decals for them, but they are nice and look great on the bike.

Well, the bike was almost finished. Basically, just the decals for the freshly painted cranks. It's amazing how a small piece of white vinyl can change everything.
I don't know if I've mentioned it, but as you can see, I've fitted Rolf Satellite wheels simply because I think they look good. Mavic Crossmax wheels would have been a better choice, of course... but that was too easy.

I've also fitted a brand-new Connex chain that I had lying around. They're one of my favorites, and I prefer them to SRAM, which would have been the logical choice, but I prefer this chain.

Oh! I also changed the saddle for a red one. I really like the contrast between the green and the red, so I think the SLR camera suits it better.

And even though it's raining in Madrid, I was eager to take the obligatory "finished bike" photos. Honestly, I love it; it's outrageous! IMG_7318.webp IMG_7319.webp IMG_7320.webp IMG_7322.webp IMG_7325.webp IMG_7326.webp IMG_7327.webp IMG_7328.webp IMG_7329.webp IMG_7330.webp
