Can you identify my recent buy

i like to get carried away, but i reckon its a 1991 Team Marin.

My reasons, well its a marin deffo. front mechs always seem to survive best IMO and as its period correct and XT , suggesting a Team Marin.

The forks dont look like the usually slender and whippy spinner forks, they look a bit thicker, low and behold when i look in the archive at the Team Marin it came with a tange fork and not the spinner shared by the majority of the rest of the range.

A note of caution, i am usually wrong,

the paint is hammerite garden gate paint

thanks for the info - i would have resized and posted directly but on a linux lappy and was in a hurry

ill drip some paint stripper on it to see whats underneath, i couldnt see anything poking through

Looks like a Marin to me, but I reckon 1990, after that they had fatter (afterburner - I think) rear stays.

Is there a frame number on the bottom of the bottom bracket shell? There's a thread on here somewhere that tells you how to de-code Marin frame numbers, that'll tell you the year and the frame model if it is a Marin.
