I really love these actually - but honestly can't see me ever getting round to using them: I seem to end up riding on muddy, gravelly country lanes quite often & am really happy with my Ambrosios for all that...
So here they are:
700c tubular.
Front = Campagnolo Shamal 16hpw - I think hub is Record? Made in Italy.
Rear = Gipiemme Tecno 416 rim - basically identical to the Shamal but less highly polished. Made in Italy. (I think I heard Gipiemme made the Shamal rim too?)
Royce Venus hub - this is probably the most expensive individual part of whole wheelset! SHIMANO fit! Made in England.
Tubular tyres:
2 x Tufo. Good condition.
1 x Continental. Not so good - looks fine but leaks air slowly.
Also:
2 x generic silver QR skewers.
NO CASSETTE!
Whilst they're not an exact match they go really well together - the bold purple logo on front & yellow on rear - check the photos - make your own mind up.
Price based as mush on Venus hub & Tufo tubs as the wheels themselves - SENSIBLE OFFERS WELCOME!
