Hoping someone will able to tell me more about the finish use on this entry level group set .
I am rebuilding a 1990/1 Mercian for a chap who has had it from new. However it has stood largely unused in a damp/leaking garage for most of its life since then :? .
The components appear to be anodized in a silver finish . They have however gained a lot of surface corrosion due to damp etc .
Is there any way of removing it . It seems a be in/under the anodizing/ lacquare .
