Looking for a way to store excess bike wheels, google only throws up bike stands and racks etc, is there anything out there that provides a tidy and convenient solution for wheels only? Ideally something like a bike rack but without the handlebar sized space between each wheel, or maybe you have an improvised version that I could copy.

Two broom handles just over half a wheel apart in height would be most efficient use of space with wheels hanging on each alternately.

Hooks on a batten attached to the wall for me. Wheels on the top rail, bikes/frames on the bottom one, just enough height in my garage to achieve this. Obviously in my case avoiding the gas supply pipe in the roof of the garage. For long term storage the scaffold tube/broomstick approach works well, you do have to take them all off to get to the ones you want!
