So I wasn't looking for an alloy bike or anything with suspension, but I went to see this bike and I really liked it😂.

From the Saracen catalog found on this forum, it's a Saracen Rush from 1998. The first year they did full suspension downhill/ enduro bikes.

The group set is in great condition xt throughout a few bits of rust on the .ore exposed bits. I haven't stripped it down yet but it definitely needs a bit of maintenance, and new tyres. So a couple of issues I'd like the wisdom of the crowd on.

1) There is some oxidation on the frame, 2 patches each probably about the size of a 1p coin, and there are a few places where the paint is bubbling. How do I remedy this, I'm thinking of giving it a new paint jobsso not afraid of hard work.

2) The rear stanchions have a light tarnish on them. Do you think I could polish these out, or would there be some kind of topcoat protecting the rear.

Any help or advice gratefully received.
