A few years back wanted to get my hands on something fun - managed to get hold of a 2003 Orange Patriot frame, from here it was a fun task of removing the v-brake bosses and picking a colour scheem. Kawasaki green was the order of the day!
Once back from the spray shop, I made the decision of a mixed-era build, modernising part choice so it could hold its own.
So far, it's running Saint cranks, cassette, and derailleur, XT brakes, DT Swiss 150mm forks, DNM rear shock, Superstar wheelset (might update to hopes), and what was a Supterstar bar and stem, but is now Nukeproof (shorter stem for a preferrable body position and nice new bars).
It's a fun trail bike! Loving how bold it looks and it is inspiring my other builds (a 24" trials bike) in colour.
