2,300 year old bike bits

Recently discovered at a dig in Leicestershire - Copper alloy horn-cap and iron brooch my arse, what do archaeologists know? It's clearly a wheel hub and primitive rear derailleur.

Well that was my first thought on seeing the photo, but it's just possible I'm spending too much time messing around with bikes. Maybe I should give the mushrooms I've been picking in the woods a miss for a while as well.

Hub is clearly a Hope Ti by the looks of the cracks....

Add some Paul's decals to that rear mech and mention L'Eroica for good measure, and you'd be onto an absolute winner
