Hello All. !!

Building on my immersive Retrobike experience I’m going to start a build thread for my new purchase.

1997 King Kahuna.

Imagine this is going to be a relatively slow build but wanted to record and share the journey.

Feedback would be great please and also suggestions.

Thanks

Matt

So to start. Here is my very fortunate buy thread from SNA.

Had to be super quick.Frame picked up and super happy.

First pics of frame. Non original main decal from 1999 I believe. Slight marks from chain that will be behind chainset.

Nice set of 951 v brakes courtesy of Magpiegifts. Just need to find an original mounting bolt as per photo.

For those that are thinking “I’ve seen this bike before”

It’s from the Pipmeister sale thread.

Oh, nice!

Will be following with interest.

Have a second frame incoming shortly myself, which, like this, I suspect will be a slow burner.

And like this also came through the forum.

I like that you've started a build thread already; it's always nice to follow along right from the jump!
