I have been injured by falling into a cactus called a jumping cholla while clipped in on a climb. Very unpleasant experience. They attatch themselves as balls of thorns hence the name. Some people carry hair comb's to remove these so you don't have to touch them to get them out.
You have to run liners in your tyres out here or you will have a flat within the first mile.
I picked these up yesterday for a 100 bucks They are 650's so could fit on the killer V if I go back to Canti's. I have ran slicks on this before with MTB rims and it does awesome on the road. It would make a very lite bike.
