Bought a very sorry looking Killer V through Facebook Marketplace. Guy had had it on ebay for a while and surpisingly no takers, looks like he had taken the frame and forks to Halfords and they kitted it out with all their cheapest components. It was well overpriced and it looked all wrong.

Here it is as I got it:

The only original items were the seat post and clamp.

I saw it on FM at a reduced price to what it had been on eBay, but it was still way overpriced as only the frame and forks were any good. So I threw in a lower offer and he accepted.

It's taken me a while to source the parts and the hardest bit was getting a 1 1/4 stem  but one finally arrived yesterday from the States (only took about a month).
The blue Dia compe brakes came all the way from Poland so its a bit of an international build. But I'm very pleased with how it has turned out and how lovely it rides.

Re:

Great bike. Not a lot of Cannondale love on here that I've found, but I'm a big fan. My next build will probably be a Cannondale.

That brings back memories, I had the polished KV900 back in 94, I added blue Middleburn cranks, Rock Shox Mag21 SL Ti and blue USE parts, shame I don’t have many pics of it...

thanks, I don't get the lack of love for Cannondales. To me they are a huge part of the history of MTB. I remember seeing a green M700 back in the mid 90s and just falling in love with the fat tubing and luxurious colour. A huge difference to the late 80s Muddy Foxes, Saracen, Oranges, Marins and Ridgebacks of the other higher end bikes that had been around.

Ive gone through a few 'Dales during the Lockdown (F1000, 2 x M1000s and a SV700/1000). I have kept one of the M1000s and the Killer V as they ride so lovely. The KV is so light and rigid it reminds me more of a BMX.

But what I really want is a '94 green Killer V2000
